What should an adult expect from a piano lesson?  If you are taking private lessons from an instructor, find out what the format is.   Does the teacher give you the same number of assignments every week?  Does the instructor give you material that you are interested in learning?  True, when you are a beginner you may not know what to expect.

Your teacher should give you a description of what your lesson should be like.  Also, you may not always like the pieces you are learning.  That’s OK, because you may not always like the pieces you are playing. The point is to learn how to play the piano.

If you are learning online, there should be a list of each tutorials so you know what to expect. Remember when you learn from video and/or audio tutorials you can do it at your own pace.  Go back and repeat a lesson if you feel like you need more work. 

So there’s no excuse for not being able to learn piano as an adult.  If you’re determined and dedicated, you can do it.
