Beginner Piano Lesson
As a beginning piano student, what should you expect from a beginner piano lesson? Do you want to take private lessons from a teacher? If so, interview the teacher you have chosen for your lessons. You may already know the teacher’s policies and expectations from the student, but you may not know yet what to expect from a beginner piano lesson.

What should you ask your teacher? Ask about what is expected from you in your first lesson. How many pieces will you learn? How long should you practice the piano? Can you learn simple pieces you always wanted to learn—and would the teacher accommodate you on what you would like to learn?
These questions should be asked. Don’t be shy about it because you are paying for the lessons! True, the teacher is in charge of the way the lessons will go but you can offer some input on the direction of your learning experience. Your teacher may be open to your suggestions, especially if they are creative.
